Principal Robotics Engineer (Algorithm Development)

Silicon Valley-based robotics start-up | $190K-$250K + Equity | HUGE growth potential!

We’re building the future of industrial robotics by giving machines the ability to see and respond in real time. Our breakthrough vision platform delivers microsecond-level 3D perception, allowing robots to move, adapt, and interact at speeds never before possible. Already partnered with leaders in automotive and semiconductor manufacturing, we’re scaling rapidly and looking for top talent to help redefine what’s possible in automation.

As a Principal Robotics Algorithms Engineer, you’ll take ownership of developing high-performance algorithms that power guidance, inspection, and navigation in dynamic manufacturing environments. Your work will span the full technology stack—crafting real-time 3D data processing, AI-driven control systems, and embedded software optimized for production-scale deployment. This is a hands-on, high-impact role at the intersection of advanced math, robotics, and real-world engineering.

What's In It For You:

  • HUGE growth opportunities!
  • Shape the systems that will define the future of manufacturing!
  • Your algorithms won’t sit in theory...they’ll power robots deployed in some of the world’s most advanced industries!

What You'll Do:
  • Architect and implement algorithms for robotic vision, guidance, and inspection tasks.
  • Build production-ready software designed for speed, reliability, and scalability from the ground-up.
  • Collaborate across R&D, prototyping, and customer deployment.
  • Optimize real-time performance on embedded and GPU-based systems.

What You Bring:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred
  • Expert-level C++ skills with deep knowledge of performance optimization
  • Strong foundation in linear algebra, geometry, and optimization methods
  • Experience in 3D sensing, motion planning, or robotic kinematics
  • Comfort working in a startup environment: iterative, fast-paced, and collaborative
Nice to have:
  • Previous start-up experience, or experience working for an entrepreneurial group
  • GPU/CUDA programming for real-time systems
  • Experience with industrial robotics and robot programming
  • Exposure to event-based vision or neural networks for 3D perception
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices or software quality systems

Benefits:
  • Competitive base salary ($190K-$250K DOE)
  • Equity
  • Top-tier Medical, dental, and vision
  • 401(K)
